An Inquest is a judicial inquiry held to determine the cause of fire or a person’s death and to confirm their identity, a process which is conducted by a Coroner at the Coroners Court of Victoria.  Certain types of unexpected deaths result in a mandatory inquest being held. This usually pertains to vulnerable members of our community.

Our staff team has the requisite sensitivity to work with family and members of the community in what can often be a distressing period, which may generate strong feelings of grief, anger, and regret as well as guilt, as the process investigates the cause of death of a loved one.
